The Chapel is situated in parkland in rural West Lancashire. We are surrounded by farms and local farmers are members of our congregation. We observe the rhythm of the farming year with 4 special services

Plough Sunday in January
The farmers bring an ancient plough, seed and soil into the Chapel. These are blessed along with prayers for all farmers.
The service is followed by lunch

Rogation Sunday in May
A service is held at a local farm to ask God`s blessing on crops as they grow. We pray for a blessing on the farm, farmhouse and all who work on farms.
The service is followed by a Hot Pot Lunch

Lammas in August
A special service as we thank God for the first harvest grain. And we celebrate the baking of bread. The service is followed by a Bread and Cheese lunch

Harvest in October
Now thank we all our God that all is safely gathered in before the winters storms begin. The service is followed by a Bring and Share lunch
The donated dry produce is given to our local food bank. The fresh produce is sold after the service.
